Early Orthodontics Intervention for Children
Early orthodontic treatment, also known as interceptive orthodontics, focuses on guiding jaw growth and dental development while a child is still growing. An early assessment allows potential orthodontic concerns to be identified at the right time—often making future treatment simpler and more predictable.
An orthodontic evaluation is typically recommended between 6 and 8 years of age, when both baby and permanent teeth are present. At this stage, early intervention may help create space for adult teeth, improve jaw alignment, and correct developing bite issues before they become more complex.
Not every child requires early treatment. In many cases, careful monitoring is the most appropriate approach. Our goal is to intervene only when it provides a clear long-term benefit, supporting healthy development and confident smiles as children grow.
